Supporting Schools to Meet the Needs of Every Learner
With over 20 years' experience as a Deputy Head, SENCO and Head of Learning Development in independent schools, I understand the pressures school leaders and SEND teams face — and I know what genuinely effective neurodiversity provision looks like from the inside.
I work with schools as a trusted external specialist: offering practical, evidence-based support that strengthens your team, improves outcomes for your most complex pupils, and gives parents the confidence that their child's needs are truly understood.
How I work with schools
1. Staff Training & INSET Days
Engaging, practical training for whole-school staff on neurodiversity, ADHD, dyslexia, autism and executive functioning. Sessions are tailored to your school's specific context and pupil profile.
2. CPD for SEN & Learning Support Teams
Specialist continuing professional development for your SEND and learning support staff, aligned to the new SENCO NPQ requirements. Practical, evidence-based and immediately applicable in the classroom.
3. SENCO Mentoring
One-to-one professional mentoring for SENCOs — whether newly appointed or experienced practitioners looking to develop their practice. A confidential, supportive space to work through complex cases, strategic challenges and professional development.
4. Parent Advocacy & Communication
Supporting schools to navigate difficult conversations with families of neurodiverse children. I can work alongside your team to facilitate parent meetings, mediate where relationships have broken down, and help families feel genuinely heard and supported.
5. Staff Advocacy & Classroom Support
Practical support for teachers working with complex neurodiverse pupils — helping staff feel confident, equipped and properly supported rather than overwhelmed.
6. Parental Training Workshops
School-commissioned workshops for parent groups — giving families the tools, strategies and understanding they need to support their neurodiverse child at home and in partnership with school.
7. Complex Pupil Case Consultancy
External specialist input on your most complex and challenging cases. I bring an independent perspective that complements your internal team and clinical professionals, helping you find a path forward.
8. EHCP Support & Review
Guidance for schools navigating the EHCP process — from initial application through to annual review. I help ensure the child's needs are accurately captured and that provision is genuinely meeting those needs.
Every school is different. I take time to understand your school's culture, your team's strengths and your pupils' needs before recommending how I can best support you.
If you would like to explore how we might work together, I would welcome an initial conversation.
